Stalosan Doubles Production Output with Brand New Production Line
For this reason, we have invested in an entirely new Stalosan product line at the existing factory at Stormøllen in Løvel, north of Viborg, Denmark. This will double production capacity, improve quality and the working environment while also reducing production costs.
The new Stalosan production line is currently being phased in. The implementation has taken place concurrently with production at the old facility, keeping the employees plenty busy.
“We’ve now come so far that we have started running customer orders through the brand-new Stalosan production line. We're working full out on the final tweaking and on training the staff. We anticipate being fully operational by mid-July after which time we expect to hold the official inauguration,” says Kim Sejr, technical factory manager in charge of the three Danish Vilofoss factories in Gråsten, Brædstrup and Løvel.
The popular Stalosan disinfection products that break down bacteria in all types of animal housing have been marketed since 1966. Stalosan is one of Vilofoss’ Leading Products which means that the product range is available on all markets and is now sold in more than 50 countries.
Improvements
Leading up to the new investment, the Stalosan factor had reached maximum capacity. The product line was out of date and would eventually fail to meet modern requirements.
“The new production line will increase the capacity remarkably and will update the processes. A large part of the production and raw-material handling used to be manual, but we now have a completely closed and state-of-the-art production system that includes full integration of the production, so that all raw materials weighed out are automatically registered. This naturally improves the homogeneity and quality of our Stalosan products and vastly improves our working conditions with less heavy lifting and, not least, a dust-free environment. Very soon, we’ll be ready to produce whatever quantities we can sell,” says a satisfied factory manager.
