Role of dietary phosphorus in hypocalcemia

Three programs for preventing hypocalcemia in dairy cows (phosphate binding, an acidified diet, and control) were tested at Wisconsin University. The results of this trial were published in the Journal of Animal earlier this year. This research provides further insight into the different modes of action and the efficacy of these methods.
