Field of application
- Dissolved in water Lactoval Liquid is used for newly calved cows
immediately after calving.
Description of the product
- Lactoval Liquid is a powdered supplementary feed containing vitamins (A, D3, E and vitamin B), electrolytes, yeast cells and rumen pH stabilising substances.
- Lactoval Liquid contributes to a.o.:
- reducing the loss of fluid and electrolytes
- improving the mobility after calving
- increasing the glucose content in the blood and thus improving energy intake
- developing the micro organisms in the rumen as well as assisting the energy supply of these (indirect increase of feed intake)
- optimising the acid level in the rumen
- preventing ketosis
- avoiding or reducing displaced abomasums
- permanent support of fertility (reducing the numbers of cows returning to heat)
Dosage
Newly calved cows need plenty of liquid right after the delivery of a calf.
500 g Lactoval Liquid dissolved in 12.5 - 15 litres of warm water and given immediately after calving helps to cover the cow's need for fluid.
We suggest that the process is repeated until the cow has been applied up to 25 litres of the energy drink Lactoval Liquid; this improves the regeneration after calving.
Lactoval Liquid is also suited as drench fluid with the same concentration as mentioned above (40 g per litre of water).
