MYCOSAFE™ protecting your animals, every day
Mycotoxins: an increasing threat in modern farming
Quality of animal feed can influence herd health. During the last decade, one issue has become increasingly problematic: mycotoxins. These natural toxins are formed by common feed moulds (e.g. Aspergillus, Fusarium, Penicillium). The toxins can survive the usual feed processing and appear in grains, roughage, and compound feed. With climate change and variable harvest conditions, their occurrence increases even more. Specific times and conditions throughout the year are particularly problematic.
Higher risk moments include:
- Opening new silos, silage bunkers
- Early stages of new harvest periods
- Temperature and humidity fluctuations
Learn more about MYCOSAFE – your shield against mycotoxins:
How mycotoxins affect animals
Mycotoxins do not cause a specific clinical picture. They affect the animals’ overall welfare in different ways:
- Decreased productivity
- Reduced gut integrity, digestive irregularities
- Feed refusal or less stable feed intake
- Skin irritation and higher sensitivity to health challenges
- Reproductive issues
- Poor resilience in young, high-yielding, or transition animals
Especially the reduced gut integrity is a problem, harming farm productivity and profitability.
Mycotoxins in feed harm animals and may affect food quality
A holistic approach to animal well-being
To stabilize the animals’ well-being and productivity, it is not enough to reduce the concentration of mycotoxins in the feed. It is also important to target the animal’s natural health. That is why our development team worked on a product that provides effective shielding against the most widespread mycotoxin challenges and supports the animal’s digestive, anti-oxidative and detoxication
system at the same time.
With MYCOSAFE we successfully developed a unique product that fulfills all these tasks simultaneously.
Our goal was a product that:
- Provides a supportive shield under variable conditions
- Helps maintain intestinal robustness
- Detoxes the digestive system
- Contributes to an overall well-being
- Is suitable across animal species and adaptable to different feed types
Our advanced toxin mitigation concept
MYCOSAFE is a scientifically developed product line combining mineral and organic components. It uses a multi-layer functional concept that addresses both the challenge (toxin exposure) and the animals’ physiological stability. The binding capacity for the most common and challenging mycotoxins has been validated in laboratory settings and observations of the effect on animals throughout Europe.
MYCOSAFE supports animals through:
- Mycotoxin mitigation
- Improved resilience during feed challenges
- Support of natural liver function
- Reduction of oxidative stress impact
- Maintenance of gut comfort and feed stability
Why continuous protection matters
Mycotoxin exposure often fluctuates, making consistent nutritional support beneficial. Particularly highproducing and young animals are sensitive to feed challenges. This is why MYCOSAFE is your long-term solution for a sustainable quality in animal feed.
The MYCOSAFE product range – tailored to your needs
MYCOSAFE is available in three variants. All three products share safe, well-researched ingredients, across-species applicability and a combination of mineral and organic components supporting animal well-being.
The three MYCOSAFE variants
- MYCOSAFE Core: Essential protection concept
- MYCOSAFE Plus Enhanced support for cereal-based diets
- MYCOSAFE Algae: Extended support for roughage and storage-related challenges

Feedback from farmers using MYCOSAFE
Germany – Pig farm
Annette und Matthias Baun, Borken/Hessen – 1,500 fattening pigs
“After we started using MYCOSAFE, we saw changes almost immediately. Within about a week, mortality dropped from 7% to 1.5%, which was a huge relief for us. At the same time, the pigs just looked different — more energetic and overall more vital. Performance improved clearly too. ADG went from about 950 g/day up to 1,050 g/day, and FCR followed the same positive trend. What really struck me was that with the MYCOSAFE allowance in the feed, we were able to market pigs 9–10 days earlier, while still consistently hitting our goal of 118–120 kg liveweight. That kind of consistency and speed makes a real difference in profitability. Based on what we’ve seen, I’m definitely continuing with MYCOSAFE.”
Denmark – Dairy farm
Søren Madsen, Skjern – 425 cows
“My cows did well on MYCOSAFE Algae. During the test period, cows were fed maize silage from thelast harvest. They stayed stable, shiny, and had a good rumen fill. Using a toxin binder in that period has been a great combination for us, and I also see it as a plus that the product contains yeast.”
Denmark – Pig farm
Johnny Torp, Harboøre – 600 sows
“On our 600-sow farm we tested MYCOSAFE by having it included in our Vilofoss mineral feed at 1.5 kg/ ton, and it was easy to use with no extra handling. Herd health and performance stayed stable at the same good level as our previous premium binder. I’ll continue using MYCOSAFE because it’s a reliable alternative with a slightly better price.”
France – Dairy farm
Rémy Pinte,GAEC des Bleuets, Montigny-en-cambresis – 170 cows
“Cows continued to be high-performing despite high levels of DON and ZEA in feed with MYCOSAFE Algae.”
