Vilofoss with achievements at this year’s EuroTier Awards
We are proud to tell you that Vilofoss Group has again (2018: Gold medal for Nutrispar) got a silver medal from EuroTier’s Innovation Award for our new product E-Force part of the CareFoss-series. The E-Force product represents a simple, practical concept for calf starter concentrates to optimise the advantageous effects of supplementing natural vitamin E and it´s expected to make its debut on the market soon. We are also on the shortlist for the DLG Agrifuture Concept Winner 2022 Award for the Vilofoss/DLG product, which we refer to as ‘Product X’ because it is still in the research and development phase. ‘Product X’ reduces methane emissions from cattle. Agrifuture Award is for pioneering achievements and future visions that have not yet reached market maturity. The three winners will be determined on November 17 at EuroTier. Presentation about “Fresh Cow Hypocalcaemia” at the “Milk and Cattle Forum” (Hall 12)
Rod Martin, Dairy Nutritionist and Business Development Consultant for our partner company Protekta Inc. will make a presentation about “Fresh Cow Hypocalcaemia: Past, present and future mitigation strategies”.
He will go into the role of dietary phosphorus in prefresh diets and its positive effect on blood calcium status…. where less dietary phosphorus = higher blood calcium.

Rod Martin is responsible for providing technical training to the dairy industry’s nutrition and veterinarian community, providing on-farm technical support and North American business development. Rod has 31 years of experience in on-farm dairy nutritional and management consulting, product development, and sales management.
Presentation about “Practical experiences with protein-reduced diets for pigs” at the “Pig and Poultry Forum” (Hall 17)
Dr Arndt Schäfer, Pig Nutritionist at Vilofoss Germany will make a presentation about „Practical experiences with protein-reduced diets for pigs“.
He will share his experiences based on different trials in different countries (within the Vilofoss Group) with protein-reduced diets for slaughter pigs and piglets and the effect of the additive „NutriSpar“ on protein utilisation.

Arndt Schäfer is one of the product managers in Vilofoss and is responsible for R&D activities concerning new feeding strategies and additives. Arndt has 27 years of experience as a consultant for nutrition and feed optimisation as well as product development.
