Our Australian X-Zelit partners - Quadrant Farming Solutions – have demonstrated significant growth in the sales of X-Zelit in Australia through the years. This year they have also received the registration for X-Zelit in New Zealand and started the introduction here at the autumn calving here (Feb/Mar). One of the first feedbacks from farms was from a 400-cow farm that in 2021 had 20 MF ( 120 Sub MF), 12 Mastitis, 12 Metritis. This year on X-Zelit, they reported back Zero MF or other metabolic diseases. Right now, it is spring calving season in NZ, and more farms are reporting similar experiences.
New big-scale trial results on X-Zelit from pasture-based feeding systems
During the last years, the New Zealand farmer organization DairyNZ has performed several trials with the X-Zelit product. The test has all been on pasture-based systems that differ considerably from the house cow and full total mixed ration systems in Europe and the US. The latest test results from 6 commercial farms are now available. The results show a significantly reduced incidence of both clinical and subclinical hypocalcemia. This suggests that the X-Zelit product is a highly beneficial option for reducing hypocalcemia in cows under pasture-based systems.
