Vilofoss at TodoLáctea 2026: Innovation in transition cow management
Our participation reinforces the company’s commitment to technical development and innovation in the Argentine market and across LATAM.
A consolidated partnership in Argentina
The collaboration between Vilofoss and Molinos Marimbo has been key to driving the development of the local market, bringing innovative and high-value nutritional solutions such as X-Zelit to dairy producers. This product, a key highlight of our exhibition, represents a significant and disruptive advance in the nutritional management of the transition period, providing a definitive solution for the control of hypocalcemia through an innovative approach based on dietary phosphorus management.
X-Zelit was first introduced in Argentina during TodoLáctea 2024, where Per Theilgaard (Vilofoss Denmark) presented this new technology to the market, initiating its registration process in the country that same year. Since then, progress has been continuous.
Following our participation in CONIL 2025 (International Dairy Congress, Córdoba, Argentina), in 2026 we are strengthening our presence at TodoLáctea with an expanded technical team.
A team of experts leading the way
In this edition, we will count on the participation of two leading specialists:
- Rod Martin (USA), dairy nutritionist and international reference in transition cow management. With more than 35 years of experience, he has built his career helping producers improve efficiency and profitability through science-based solutions.
- Miguel Morales (USA), veterinarian with over three decades of international experience in dairy production, product development and system optimization. His approach combines epidemiology, technology and management to improve performance in farms across the Americas and other markets.
In addition, Víctor Marcén (ES), technical specialist at Vilofoss Spain with extensive field experience in product application, and Dr. Bernardo Suárez Crettón, consultant at Molinos Marimbo in Argentina and a key figure in local development and the implementation of X-Zelit in production systems in the country, will share field experiences from LATAM countries where X-Zelit is already available (Argentina, Uruguay, Colombia, and Chile).
Technical sessions: rewriting the transition period
- Rod Martin will present “Rewriting the Transition Period: The dietary phosphorus dilemma – is less really more in close-up diets?”, where he will analyze traditional approaches versus new strategies based on scientific evidence and field data from North American dairy systems.
- Miguel Morales will present: “Rewriting the Transition Period: Hypocalcemia under control. A new paradigm based on dietary phosphorus management in the transition period”, addressing the use of phosphorus binders as a key tool to improve herd health and performance.
